DR ANGELA PADDON
MBBS, BSc,MRCP,MRCGP (University College London Medical School)
Angela became a GP in 2001 after having spent several years in hospital medicine, specialising in care of the elderly. Angela is the Senior Partner in the Practice.
DR JULIA HEMPENSTALL
Dr Julia Hempenstall first came to Bedwyn in 2011 and became a partner at the practice in 2024. She enjoys all aspects of rural family General Practice and has a special interest in diabetes. She practices a strong theme of wellbeing and support for colleagues and patients. Dr Julia is a Clinical Supervisor of GPs in training, accredited Mentor to newly qualified GPs and a GP Appraiser. Outside of work she enjoys cycling, walking and netball when her 3 children and dog allow her some time.
DR HANNAH GRAYSTONE
BM MRCGP DRCOG (University of Southampton)
Hannah joined the Practice in 2012 and is a Partner GP, she is also a Clinical Supervisor for GP trainees. Hannah has an interest in medical education and spends some of her working week as a GP Tutor for the Swindon Education Trust. Outside of work she can usually be found exploring the countryside with her husband and two young boys.

DR ANNA WOODMAN
BSc MBBCh DRCOG PG Cert (University of Cardiff)
Anna joined us in 2024, having completed her training in Salisbury since 2013. Anna has interests in medical education, women's health and preventative lifestyle medicine. She is qualified to perform joint injections and is currently training to fit coils. When not in work she can be found enjoying the great outdoors.
Nurses
SUE WOODS
RGN
Sue qualified in 1983 and is fully trained in many aspects of Practice Nursing including Diabetes, Minor Surgery, Travel Advice and Immunisations. Sue provides Health Checks and a Well Woman clinic, one important aspect of which is Cervical Screening.
JANE MARREN
RN (adult), Dip Nursing, BSc Econ Psychology/Sociology
Qualified in 1996 from St Mary's Hospital, Paddington and worked in London on surgical wards and Intensive Care doing further work in Swindon A&E Department. Jane does all treatment room work and has a particular interest in Asthma/COPD, she sees most of our patients with respiratory problems for assessment management and their annual reviews. She is currently undertaking her Prescribing course. She has teenage children and when she is not busy with her cottage renovation she enjoys gardening and watching movies!

DONNA PAIS
Practice Manager
Donna has been at the practice for over 15 years and along with a job share with Nicky is our Practice Manager. Donna has two teenage daughters and lives locally with her husband and her two beloved King Charles Spaniels - she loves nothing more than spending time in the garden.
NICKY JOHNSON
Practice Manager
Nicky, along with a job share with Donna, is our Practice Manager. She previously worked as the Dispensary Manager within the Surgery. Nicky has worked at the practice for over 9 years. Her passion is her two horses which she regularly enters into Equestrian competitions with her daughter Georgia.
Administration
LUCY HAWKINS
Lucy is the GP Secretary; She has recently joined us after spending almost thirty years in the Motor Trade. Lucy lives in the village with her husband and two children, when she is not providing a taxi service she enjoys frequenting the Garden Centre and a local walk!
NADINE FOSTER
Nadine is our Practice Support Administrator. She has worked at the Surgery since 2010, being on Reception for 14 years and the Reception Manager for 5 years. She moved into her new role in February 2024 and is enjoying a new challenge! Nadine is also a trained phlebotomist. She has a partner, two daughters and a cocker spaniel.
Reception
JENNY ROACH
Jenny may be a familiar face, she has lived in the village all her life and has previously worked in Customer Service so is a huge asset to the Patient Services Administration team! Jenny enjoys reading and is quite partial to a bit of cross stitching.
KAREN EDWARDS
Karen is originally from Fife in Scotland having moved to Wiltshire in the late 70s to work in the military and NHS. Generations of her husbands family were all born and brought up in or around Crofton and Great Bedwyn. They returned to live in the village 8 years ago and love being back here immersing ourselves in village life. Karen loves meeting people, walking in the local countryside, baking, enjoy gardening, reading and travelling. Karen loves sewing and being creative, a craft room would be her idea of absolute heaven! She is delighted to have joined Great Bedwyn Surgery serving the local community.
MIA LIDDIARD
Mia joined Reception in December 2023 and is a valued member of our Team, providing excellent patient service. At home Mia has two labradors that she enjoy taking for walks. She is a sports fan, in particular Formula One, and loves spending time with her family and trying new places to eat- bit of a foodie!
Dispensers
LIBBY PAIS
Olivia (Libby) previously worked in Jack Wills whilst finishing her A levels. She joined us to help out during the pandemic and has become a valuable member of the Practice, both in Reception and now in Dispensary. Libby loves the theatre and her ambition is to join the Music Industry.
TRACY TIMBERLAKE
Tracy has been working at the surgery since June 2018. She lives in the village with her husband and 3 children and previously worked at the Ridgeway Hospital in Swindon. Tracy started in Reception but is now a valued member of our Dispensary team.
